Another Saturday in the city

Who's feeling relaxed, I know I am. I love Saturday. I love Saturday more than any day of the week. You get to lounge and eat. And it's an amazing day in New York, with equal parts sunshine and monsoon.

I just finished my last long run before the Brooklyn half and I was sweating bullets. It takes a while to get used to running in inferno temperatures when you've been locked inside an eternal frozen winter wonderland. It's all good though, I love warm weather because warm weather means bbqs and beer. Which ironically is what my friends and I are doing at the moment.

warmer temps mean less clothing. Everyone wins.

 BBQ Saturdays.

BBQ Saturdays.

So I had a pretty interesting end to my week, I had two dates. (Disclaimer I'm real hesitant to share my dating life on here so you can have a taste but I'm not a Carrie Bradshaw. I'll let you use your imagination to color in the details.) Both dates were fun and both guys were great. But I was talking to a friend of mine today about dating in New York and how the date always goes really well, great chemistry, great goodbye kiss, you make plans for a second date AND THEN radio silence. You never hear from them again. She then introduced me to a new word, Ghosting-

Ghosting: when instead of ending a current or prospective relationship you disappear.

WHAT THE EFF. GHOSTING? It's a thing! New York is ridiculous. Dating in New York is comical. I mean maybe I'm just to fun and I can't tell when nothing's there because I'm busy entertaining and telling jokes, but holy moly. Ghosting. That's a whole new can of worms. I'm exhausted. Datings exhausting. Running is exhausting. Life is exhausting. But hey, that's life in the big city!

I'm excited for tomorrow we are having a big Mother's Day brunch for our New York mom Deb over in Chelsea which is going to be ridiculously fun. Who doesn't love brunch? !

Happy Saturday friends. Go let your hair down. Until tomorrow #RunSelfieRepeat
