Project Start Takes Over The News

Just in case you haven't yet joined the Project Start revolution, Project Start is an initiative launched by my friend and power house supermodel Candice Huffine that encourages women to start running. If you know anything about me and Run, Selfie, Repeat, you know that I'm not shy about sharing how painful and impossible getting started and becoming a runner was for me.

Everyone has a story and Candice invited myself along with my friends Ali Feller, Alison Desir, and April Cargill to be apart of the Project Start: PS You Got This ambassador team. We shared our stories and in turn, we hope that we will show women of all different walks of life that you don't have to look a certain way or be at a certain athletic level to get started. All you really need is to take the first step.

What a lot of people may not realize is that Candice, Ali, April, Alison and I are actually friends in real life.

So when Candice if we'd like to talk about Project Start on Good Day New York, we knew we were in for a good time. From the madness of live TV and flying by the seat of our pants to taking over the news desk for our own impromptu morning show, check out the fun we had when Project Start took over the news!

One of the truly difficult parts about getting started for me was feeling so totally and completely alone. I didn't know anything about the running community and had I had something like Project Start, I feel like I wouldn't have felt like such an outcast. Just remember that regardless of whether you can run to your mailbox or if you can run a marathon, everyone is invited to the running party. All you have to do is set a goal and take your first step.
