Why Run A Marathon If You Don't Want to Run a Marathon?
My first marathon was terrifying. I spent an entire month trying to muster the courage to register for the Rock N Roll San Diego Marathon. I wasn't afraid of running a marathon, I was afraid that I wouldn't make it. It felt impossible and out of reach. I had barely survived my first half marathon but I was sick and tired of holding myself back. I was done believing the little voice in my head that told me that something was impossible so I registered for the race and I hit the ground running.
This is why I ran a marathon that I didn't necessarily want to run. (And I have to say it was the best and most painful decision I ever made.)
Until next time, #RunSelfieRepeat.
