Your Empowering Conquer The Worst Playlist

What do you do when shit hits the fan? When I first started running, I thought I could actually physically run from my problems. Nothing was happening for me. I was stuck, bored and I could feel myself slipping into old habits. So when I figured out that the pain I felt from running meant I was getting stronger, I leaned hard into that pain. I drank the Koolaid (or should I say electrolyte mix???) and now there's nothing better than putting on my shoes, throwing my middle finger up in the air and going for a long run when shit hits the fan.

Going through a breakup?

Relationship speed bumps?

Did you get cheated on?

Life problems?

Are your kids driving you over the edge?

Get fired?

Quit your job?

Want to stab your boss and/or coworkers? (METAPHORICALLY SPEAKING OF COURSE. JESUS DON'T STAB ANYONE.)

Do you have 99 problems and they all have to do with money?

Having an identity crisis?

Feeling insecure about your weight?

Or maybe you just don't feel like you fit in anywhere.

That isn't even the tip of the iceberg but these are some of the many reasons why you should run away/start running! Life is tough and it doesn't get any easier! I was talking with a coworker this morning and she looked at me in tears and says, "I think I just need to go for a run. How do I do that?" And I was like GIRL! I GOT YOUR BACK! I'm going to crowd source you an empowering conquer the word playlist and then we're going to go run for a good 2 minutes."

And she was like "WHAT?" And I was like, "Then we'll walk and then we'll run again!"

I asked the Run, Selfie, Repeat community over on the Twitterverse and The Facebook what songs they listen to when they need to feel empowered. So here is your "Empowering I'm Going to Conquer the Worst Playlist" for all those moments when you want to blow something up, set something on fire or punch someone in their hope (because revenge is best served by doing something great. And if you really want to say "F*ck you", go run a half or full marathon and then be like "SUCK IT.")
