Hi. My name is Kelly Roberts and I want to welcome you to She Can & She Did.
In 2013, I started a blog called Run, Selfie, Repeat and had no idea what the hell I was doing. I had just gone viral for taking selfies with "hot guys" behind me while I tried to survive a half marathon. Despite the fact that I was the self proclaimed former President of the "I f*cking hate running club", I launched a running blog called Run, Selfie, Repeat.
A lot happened in a very short four years: I met the royals, went from “I don’t think I’m a runner” to a 3 hour and 41 minute marathoner(!!!) running down self-doubt and fear along the way, started the #SportsBraSquad, landed the cover of Women’s Running Magazine(!!!), and saw thousands of badass women cross their very first finish lines.
Over the last year, what was once a running blog became more of a life with a side of running blog and I realized it was time for the next chapter of Run, Selfie, Repeat; From identity and purpose to equal pay and self confidence, She Can & She Did is a storytelling platform dedicated to a place where women could be seen, heard, and have difficult conversations.
I have huge, ambitious plans for She Can & She Did. I know it won’t be easy but one thing I’ve learned from the badass lady gang is that no matter how hard something seems, we really are stronger together.
The future isn’t just female, it’s strong, smart, emboldened, united, driven, funny, and ambitious as hell.

You don't have to be a fancy pants writer to share your story!
She Can & She Did is a place for women of all walks of life to discuss and question the world we live in.
It's our hope that by giving women of all walks of life a chance to see themselves in the good, the bad, and the ugly in the stories of other women that we will elevate new perspectives and create new communities that will help women kick ass and take names.
Where to start:
The good is about sharing the stories of how you defied expectations. How the sacrifices, support, guidance, and courage from the women in your life inspired you to become who you are today.
Behind every resilient woman is one who has been to hell and back again. When we expose our imperfect journeys to each other, we create a world where acceptance and belonging are universal. (Happy endings optional.)
From identity and purpose to equal pay and inequality, the everything else is just that, everything you’ve learned, discovered, or want to question and change.
For decades, women have been lead to believe that their worth is equated to how much they weigh. PLOT TWIST! Health isn’t a look, it’s a lifestyle. And the fastest way to feel confident in your own skin is to find ways to get active that empower you. (LIKE RUNNING!)

but What happened to run, selfie, repeat?
I know what you're thinking,“But what happened to Run, Selfie, Repeat?! Who will commiserate with me about how shitty and equally wonderful running can be?! Who will remind me that I'm not alone on the running struggle bus?! WHO WILL MAKE FUN OF HOW HARD IT IS TO BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE!?!"
Don't worry! Until women stop equating their worth with their waist size and until magazines stop selling this BS 'ideal' aesthetic, I'll continue to scream from the rooftops about the importance of health, body image, sisterhood, and getting active in ways that empower us.
Think of She Can & She Did like the bigger, better version of Run, Selfie, Repeat complete with new adaptive training plans that will help give the empowering gift of running to women all around the world. (Keep your eyes peeled for more info on those training plans.)
