Meet your chapter leaders
I was never much of a jock as a kid. My thing was art, dance, theater, and I even moved to Philly to get my degree in Photography. My body was my biggest enemy, so running for reasons other than weight loss or zombies was unimaginable. Sometimes I wish could travel in time and tell my awkward, self-conscious 13-year-old self that I would one day be a Marathoner, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and co-leader the Badass Lady Gang of Philadelphia. I would also consider telling my Junior High gym teacher, but she would probably drop dead from shock. It has been a wild 20-some year (and counting!) journey to loving my body, and I love sharing running with others on the same path.
Favorite Part about BALG
is the built-in support network, and Covid has only made this network bigger!
I used to hate living in Philly, and told myself many times I would move back to San Diego or find a new city. All of that changed when the Badass Lady Gang chapter in Philly started. Running has become a huge part of my life, and while I still struggle with body image and a healthy balance of exercise and life, I've never felt more supported than I do now. Oh, and my doggo Olive is also the best too.

the sense of belonging, community, and friendships that came almost instantly.
